Złota era swingu lat dwudziestych i trzydziestych, epoka „retro” lat pięćdziesiątych, a później szalone lata sześćdziesiąte i siedemdziesiąte pozostawiły po sobie wiele genialnych kompozycji. Te piękne, „stare” piosenki w niezwykły sposób przenoszą nas w inne miejsca i czasy – do zadymionych „chicagowskich” klubów jazzowych, na roztańczone sale balowe, gdzie tylko „cza- cza” przełamuje wstyd, do maleńkich hotelików jesienną porą, gdzie wśród liści i łez pewna pani żegna się z pewnym panem, do portowych tawern, gdzie lokalna artystka przywołuje eleganckiego, nieco smutnego gościa: „Chodź tutaj Milordzie! “UNFORGETTABLE SONGS”

The “Unforgettable songs” recital takes the public on a sentimental journey. The golden era of 1920s and 1930s, the retro period in 1950s and then 1960s and 1970s, have left many brilliant compositions. These “old” beautiful songs in an extraordinary manner takes us to other places and times, to Chicago jazz clubs filled with cigarette smoke, dancing ballrooms where cha-cha breaks the embarrassment, to small autumnal hotels where some lady is saying goodbye to some gentleman among the leaves and tears, to port taverns where a local artist is summoning an elegant and a little bit sad guest: “Come here, my Lord! Sit at my table! Make yourself comfortable!” …
The Programme includes compositions of, inter alia: Hanka Ordonówna, Kalina Jędrusik, Maria Koterbska, Sława Przybylska, Edith Piaff, Ella Fitzgerald, Marlena Dietrich performed in Polish, English, French and German accompanied by piano. We invite you.

Autumn brings melancholy and reverie, it is so much blues season, delicate colours and feelings rich, it is also a time of metaphysical experiences – a prickle of excitement at Halloween’s night, fortune-telling and prophecy. Magic and music are two worlds that are related with each other, actually they merge, which is felt most at the St. Andrew’s night.

„Sag mir wo die Blumen sind“ – wer wird mit der Schönheit nicht bezaubert und durch die traurigen Worte dieses „alten“ ursprünglich von der Göttin des deutschen Filmes und der Bühne der 30er Marlene Dietrich aufgeführten Liedes in Nachdenklichkeit nicht versetzt?
